Initial grooming has begun on Bemidji area ski trails. The lighted Montebello Trail and Bemidji High School trail were rolled/packed on Sunday as were the red and blue trails at Three Island County Park.The Movil Maze is being rolled this morning. The Buena Vista trail system will likely be rolled over the weekend and the Three Island trails will receive additional grooming attention depending on new snow fall. There has been just enough snow to begin establishing the base on the trails, so skiers should expect to encounter scattered brown ground exposure on the trails. However, most trails will be skiable (rock skis recommended) and every new inch of snow that arrives will help us groomers add to the base. Tornado Bob has indicated that there is a possibility of significant snowfall over the weekend, hopefully the system will track into the KAXE listening area.
